The local 2724 is the union that represents agents in the Buffalo sector. It covers the Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Rochester, Oswego, Wellesley and Erie stations.

  • We are the guardians of non-supervisory Border Patrol Agents and support personnel assigned to the United States Border Patrol.

  • We protect Border Patrol Agents against frivolous lawsuits, overzealous prosecutors, and unwarranted or disparate administrative actions.

  • We safeguard conditions of employment, agreements, practices, employee rights, and the labor laws of the United States.

  • We strive to ensure a fair and equitable workplace free from favoritism, intimidation, disparate treatment, and harassment.

  • We seek to preserve the Border Patrol motto: "Honor First" and the oath of office sworn by all Border Patrol Agents.

  • We promote immigration laws and policies that contribute to the security of the United States and oppose policies that restrict the sworn duties of Border Patrol Agents.

  • We represent the employees with honor, judiciousness, and professionalism.

The local 2724 is proud to represent the men and women that put their lives on the line to protect us on a day to day basis.

We feel that by creating this website we will keep our agents better informed and up-to-date on what affect us most.

We do not take our duty lightly, especially because we believe it's an honor to serve those who serve us. So to all the agents out there we would like to say "Honor First" and stay safe.

What We Do:

Here at Local 2724, Buffalo Sector’s Union, we have two main goals.

We fight for the rights of our membership

We promote the mission of the United States Border Patrol, to protect America’s borders.

The Union defends members against arbitrary changes in work conditions that negatively affect safety, job satisfaction and quality of life as well as defending individual employees against unwarranted or overly harsh discipline and workplace harassment.

The Union fights against capricious, often politically motivated, changes in policy or regulation that impair our ability to work effectively.  Despite the constant roll-out of new initiatives, jargon and useless pet-projects, the basic mission of the Border Patrol hasn’t changed since 1924.  On land, water, and air We Patrol the Border.  We locate and apprehend anyone entering illegally between the ports of entry.  Whether their intention is terrorism, drug smuggling, or just a plain old EWI, we scoop them up by any and all means.
